Geoff Ward is an accomplished director and one of the most experienced and talented cameraman currently working in documentary programming. He is in constant demand by directors who value his creative eye, his empathy with subjects and his ability to produce outstanding work under often difficult circumstances. Originally a news cameraman at the BBC, Geoff moved into the challenge of documentaries over twenty years ago. His award winning work has been broadcast globally on BBC World News and on all the major UK networks, including “Country File” and “The One Show” for BBC One, “Waterworld” for ITV, plus numerous programmes at C4 and Sky. He has travelled all over the world to record the extraordinary lives of people living in some of the most remote places on the planet. He’s in demand not just as a cameraman, but as a stills photographer and as a director. Despite his globe trotting, Geoff has lived in Shropshire most of his life. To him, it’s home and where his roots are. Using his considerable television experience, Geoff is now leading the team that is creating one of the most exciting new ventures in broadcasting – The County Channel.
